Greetings & Salutations! Welcome to my new blog.  I'm a photographer based out of Camp Hill, PA but my adventures and exploration take me beyond Central PA.  Feel free to take some time exploring my blog site and the links to my professional websites featuring more portrait and wedding images. My old blog will remain active for now and can be found under my websites button in the menu.  You can see previous posts by doing a search, looking under categories, or by using the view next entries option at the bottom of this page.

Angelique & Tim's Wedding Weekend - Brooklyn, NY Photographers

Angelique & Tim planned a wedding weekend that was anything but ordinary.  When Angelique first contacted me, she mentioned they really were trying to plan something more along the lines of an antiwedding wedding. . .I told her I was her photographer!!  :)  I love when people do what suits them, cookie - cutter wedding formulas are so over in my book!  I think this is why I end up with the most fantastic clients ever and why I love my job so very much!

They had an intimate marriage ceremony on Friday and then celebrated at some of their favorite locations in their own neighborhood the rest of the weekend hitting up many of their favorites spots with friends and family.  Brian and I were super delighted to capture a few of these moments!  It's been a real challenge choosing which images to blog and what to say about our time with them so I went crazy and way overboard!

Their warmth, generosity, and sincerity left a huge imprint on our hearts.  It would be honest for me to say we felt more like guests when we were with them and their friends and families.  I truly hope our images can reflect how genuinely loved and loving these two are!

The weekend included a lot of firsts for me as a photographer (and Brian too).  First Brooklyn, NY wedding - hello, we do travel!! ;)  It was our first time photographing an after party - probably wouldn't work for everyone, but T & A's after party was a super fabulous event at their favorite bar.  It was the first time Brian drove a bride and groom around (I think) in their car.  Just being responsible after we went to a bar. . .um, first time photographing bride and groom in said bar.  And, of course, the first time the bride and groom did karaoke at their wedding celebration.

We started out at their home and then they drove us to various spots in Brooklyn.  The weather forecast was not promising, high winds, threats of tornadoes, hail, and thunderstorms, but we braved it and despite one passing shower and some windy moments, thankfully nothing really came to fruition.

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Dinner spot: Frankie's Sputino

Afterparty: Monteros

This first shot is Brian's. I'm in love with this moment as the bride, of course she could stop traffic, made it across the street before us.  ;)

we took a snack break . . .

T&A requested photos with their 90 year old neighbor who was so sweet!!  Brian caught this moment too.

Their parents did readings before dinner. . .and announced them as husband and wife!

Remember this cutie-pie couple?  I photographed their fantastic wedding in 2006!

hold on, we're headed to the bar. . .

Malissa + Josh & Bella the Dog - Engagement Portraits in Central PA

I recently photographed these two on a gorgeous spring evening in Harrisburg.  These two met when they were really only wee tots, and now, all of these years later they are getting married!  Reminds me a bit of me and Brian! ;)

We started at their new home by exploring the area with their puppy Bella.  Malissa & Josh then took me to their old neighborhood where they grew up together; literally they grew up living as neighbors.  I had so much fun listening to all of their stories and traveling through their shared history together.  I'm honored to capture this next part of their story. . .celebrating their engagement and their wedding later this summer.

The spot where Mr. Casanova won Malissa's heart. . .her home was on the left, his was on the right.

Baby "J" - Newborn photography in Central PA

Just one sweet moment from yesterday's session!

Jack & Bonnie - Dog Photography in Central PA

I actually captured these dog photographs about a month ago.  However, I wanted to wait until the intended gift recipient received his completed album before blogging them.  It's been a challenge though; look how cute these doggies are! ;)

I think Bonnie & Jack had a lot of fun at their dog photography session.  This was just before the first blizzard of 2010 here in Central PA.  It was just flurrying and cold on this day, but the doggies didn't mind.

Dog Files:

Jack (Jackson) = A Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who loves spending time with his humans and snuggling on the couch.  Fears, the camera!  Yep, I was warned that he's not always keen on having his photograph captured.  We made the session mostly about having fun, so he did a great job with the camera!!

Bonnie = A Yellow Lab with boundless amounts of energy.  She loves her ball, hiking, and swimming.  She was trained for The Susquehanna Service Dogs but had just a little too much energy so she was adopted by Sue and Eric.

Here are a few spreads/pages from their album. . .

Sue called me with a super sweet message yesterday.  She wanted to tell me that her husband said the album of their dogs was one of the best gifts he's ever received.  A great big thank you to Sue who wanted to do this for her husband Eric, not because it was any special day or holiday, but just because.  Yeah, Sue's pretty awesome!

Valentine's Photo Special

Although I think it's always a good time for a thoughtful gift, I am running a Valentine's Special!

A favorite quote of mine from my favorite author, Ayn Rand!
