Duke the Dog and His Furry Family - Dog Photography in Central PA
This is Duke and these are his siblings. . .

Mmmm. . .grass, I know my dogs love it too!

Malissa + Josh - Wedding Photographers in Harrisburg, PA
Remember Malissa and Josh from their sweeties session? Brian and I photographed their lovely wedding over the 4th of July holiday weekend. We started in Elizabethtown for the ceremony before heading to the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club in Harrisburg. We had a blast with Malissa and Josh's lively bridal party and warm and friendly families. I loved the spice color chosen for the bridesmaids dresses, the flowers, and reception decor. I think it reflected the feeling of fun, summer energy perfectly.

Love the next two shots by Brian. . .what great moments he anticipated!

Another great capture by Brian. . .Malissa's sister watching the father/daughter dance. :)

Alison, Paula, Maida, Zeke, & Lucy - Canine Companion Photography in Central PA
Meet a muttley crew! ;)
It was incredibly hot and buggy the day we captured these images, but I had a blast meeting sisters Alison and Paula and their cherished canine companions. We took lots of water (and snack) breaks. They are a great furry family unit, and they all love one another dearly. Each dog was charming in his or her own way and it was fun to see their unique personalities shine. Picking the blog teaser was near impossible, Brian had to convince me not to put up 50 images. ;)
Dog Files:
Lucy - Golden Retriever, 1.5 years, loves her ball, walks with mom and the gang, and romping with Zeke.
Zeke - Black Labrador Retriever, 1 year, loves Lucy, catching bugs, and making mischief (see below).
Maida - Matriarch Black Lab, 8 years young, loves treats, belly rubs, and exploring. ;)

Sassy Maida!

An Explorer and Her Parents - Family Portraits in Hershey, PA
This family came up from West Virginia over the holiday weekend for their family portrait session. Little Miss "A" was on the move; and it was fun watching her fearlessly climb, run, and play. Of course there were a few quiet moments too, but mostly it was the three adults chasing after this little explorer. ;) I was so happy to get this session in while it was still cool and before this heat wave took over the East Coast.
This family attended two weddings I photographed over the past several years and I'm so happy they contacted me for a session of their own.
Katie and Scott, you are such a charming family; and I am so glad I had this opportunity to document the three of you at this stage in your lives.
Doll Baby is an integral part of the family as well. ;)

Portrait Photographer in Central PA - Blog Teasers from the Past Week
It's busy season. . .
Here are 4 portrait session images and a wedding teaser. You'll have to keep checking back for their full posts!
First up, a furry family!

Next, a sweet human family. ;)

A gorgeous senior.

Canine Companions Session!

And a lovely and lively wedding!

Jennifer, Lesa, & Cayenne - Family Photography in Harrisburg, PA
It was important to Jennifer and Lesa that their family photographs be captured in a place meaningful to them. They were a little worried that just walking around their own neighborhood might not provide "pretty" enough scenery. However, as you'll be able to see, if a place holds meaning to you, it can't help but also be beautiful! :)
I had a blast meeting these three ladies. The session was playful and relaxed. Although, it was a scorcher, I read 95 degrees on the drive to meet them, we took plenty of breaks and Cayenne always led us to the shade. ;)
Here are just a few of my favorites, I saved some surprises for your gallery though. Thanks for putting your trust in me to capture your sweet family.

This is what 11 + years of love looks like. . .beautiful!

I think the next photo is my favorite of the three of them from the entire day!

Angelique & Tim's Wedding Weekend - Brooklyn, NY Photographers
Angelique & Tim planned a wedding weekend that was anything but ordinary. When Angelique first contacted me, she mentioned they really were trying to plan something more along the lines of an antiwedding wedding. . .I told her I was her photographer!! :) I love when people do what suits them, cookie - cutter wedding formulas are so over in my book! I think this is why I end up with the most fantastic clients ever and why I love my job so very much!
They had an intimate marriage ceremony on Friday and then celebrated at some of their favorite locations in their own neighborhood the rest of the weekend hitting up many of their favorites spots with friends and family. Brian and I were super delighted to capture a few of these moments! It's been a real challenge choosing which images to blog and what to say about our time with them so I went crazy and way overboard!
Their warmth, generosity, and sincerity left a huge imprint on our hearts. It would be honest for me to say we felt more like guests when we were with them and their friends and families. I truly hope our images can reflect how genuinely loved and loving these two are!
The weekend included a lot of firsts for me as a photographer (and Brian too). First Brooklyn, NY wedding - hello, we do travel!! ;) It was our first time photographing an after party - probably wouldn't work for everyone, but T & A's after party was a super fabulous event at their favorite bar. It was the first time Brian drove a bride and groom around (I think) in their car. Just being responsible after we went to a bar. . .um, first time photographing bride and groom in said bar. And, of course, the first time the bride and groom did karaoke at their wedding celebration.
We started out at their home and then they drove us to various spots in Brooklyn. The weather forecast was not promising, high winds, threats of tornadoes, hail, and thunderstorms, but we braved it and despite one passing shower and some windy moments, thankfully nothing really came to fruition.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Dinner spot: Frankie's Sputino
Afterparty: Monteros
This first shot is Brian's. I'm in love with this moment as the bride, of course she could stop traffic, made it across the street before us. ;)

we took a snack break . . .

T&A requested photos with their 90 year old neighbor who was so sweet!! Brian caught this moment too.

and Brian's angle. . .

Taking a break before walking to the celebratory dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.

Their parents did readings before dinner. . .and announced them as husband and wife!

Remember this cutie-pie couple? I photographed their fantastic wedding in 2006!

hold on, we're headed to the bar. . .

If you're a guest from this wedding and you'd like to see the entire gallery, please contact A&T soon. . .
