Asia & Kimo - Dog Photography in PA
Meet Asia and her canine companion Kimo - two 8 year old Pit Bulls
Asia and Kimo were rescued from the Humane Society about 5 years ago. Their story is quite amazing if you ask me; but what's more amazing is the woman who adopted them both. Asia had been left to starve in a drug house in Harrisburg before she was brought to the shelter. Luckily, just before her time was up at the shelter, she was adopted by her current owner. However, instead of her owner walking out with one dog, she came home with two. It turns out that Asia and Kimo only needed a few minutes with one another at the Humane Society to become best buds. Kimo and Asia were kissing one another's faces after their brief introduction. So, although it wasn't the original plan, that is how Kimo also found a home that day.
Yes, Asia and Kimo are both pit bulls or maybe mixed bullies, and I know a lot of people give them a bad rap, but let me tell you about my experience with these true ambassadors for their breed. I spent most of the session wiping those famous and obviously persuasive kisses off my cheek from Kimo while Asia let me hug and snuggle her like she had known me her whole life.
Asia is sadly living with cancer. While nothing is certain right now, what is certain is that Natalie gave Asia and Kimo an unbelivable gift over the past 5 years. She gave them a second chance and many years they wouldn't have had if not for her. I hope that there are many memories still left to be made. I'm so thankful I had the chance to help capture some memories for you. Seeing Kimo and Asia frolic, share kissies, and snuggle was heart melting.
Dear Natalie, although the future is unpredictable, may these images of your canine companions bring you a lifetime of memories and happiness. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to photograph all three of you. Thank you for sharing the story of how the three of you came to be a pack.
Asia loves to roll around in the sunny grass!

Kimo, the kisser!
