Nestle & Phoebe - Dog Photography in Camp Hill, PA
Dog Files (just a few of my own observations about these sweet labs)
Nestle: a Chocolate Lab who is 12.5 years young. She's quirky, lovable, loyal, and a snow bunny.
Phoebe: a goofy 3.5 year old Yellow Lab who is speedy, feisty, and a snackolholic (like many labbies) with an amazing sense of smell.
When I spoke to Mari Lynn about her session, she mentioned she was really hoping for some snow as Nestle loves to frolic in colder weather with her buddy Phoebe. I completely understand as my own choco lab, Olive, also goes crazy in the snow. We completely lucked out with the snow as our session happened during the blizzard of February 2010. It might have been a tad bit cold out, but we were having so much fun that I actually felt like shedding some layers.
Choosing the images to blog was so challenging it was almost painful. ;) Thanks for the memories, and for being such troopers to come and play in the snow with us!!

They are just playing. . .promise!

Asia & Kimo - Dog Photography in PA
Meet Asia and her canine companion Kimo - two 8 year old Pit Bulls
Asia and Kimo were rescued from the Humane Society about 5 years ago. Their story is quite amazing if you ask me; but what's more amazing is the woman who adopted them both. Asia had been left to starve in a drug house in Harrisburg before she was brought to the shelter. Luckily, just before her time was up at the shelter, she was adopted by her current owner. However, instead of her owner walking out with one dog, she came home with two. It turns out that Asia and Kimo only needed a few minutes with one another at the Humane Society to become best buds. Kimo and Asia were kissing one another's faces after their brief introduction. So, although it wasn't the original plan, that is how Kimo also found a home that day.
Yes, Asia and Kimo are both pit bulls or maybe mixed bullies, and I know a lot of people give them a bad rap, but let me tell you about my experience with these true ambassadors for their breed. I spent most of the session wiping those famous and obviously persuasive kisses off my cheek from Kimo while Asia let me hug and snuggle her like she had known me her whole life.
Asia is sadly living with cancer. While nothing is certain right now, what is certain is that Natalie gave Asia and Kimo an unbelivable gift over the past 5 years. She gave them a second chance and many years they wouldn't have had if not for her. I hope that there are many memories still left to be made. I'm so thankful I had the chance to help capture some memories for you. Seeing Kimo and Asia frolic, share kissies, and snuggle was heart melting.
Dear Natalie, although the future is unpredictable, may these images of your canine companions bring you a lifetime of memories and happiness. It was truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to photograph all three of you. Thank you for sharing the story of how the three of you came to be a pack.
Asia loves to roll around in the sunny grass!

Kimo, the kisser!

Funny Bone Friday - Dog Photographer in Camp Hill, PA
Meet Tucker! He's the only Patterdale Terrier I know, and he's a unique and highly amusing dog! He's tons of fun and is getting along great with his new baby brother. Apparently, stuffed animals only last a few minutes as he is quite the little hunter (and destroyer).

My fave of the day is the next photo!

Of course here are a few of his cutie-pie baby brother! It's never too early to ROCK!

Baby Bubbles!

It's tiring work being this cute and of course rocking and rolling! :)
Photo Display Recap at Juice and Java
Here are a few photos from the display I had a Juice & Java last month. Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit the cafe and view my photographs. As you may know, I also had a free drawing you could enter.

Funny Bone Friday - Meet Barney
This is Barney. He's sweet, he's playful, he's only a year old, and he's Olive's new buddy! He is all about the tongue.
