Curtis & Lynn's Wedding - Weddings in Harrisburg, PA
Lynn & Curtis were introduced by a Judge (I think I have that story correct), and engaged in Paris. So their Parisian themed wedding at the Capital Rotunda only seemed fitting. I love, love, love it when the bride and groom go for the option of capturing photographs with me before the ceremony. This allowed us to get more done before the ceremony even started and have time to hit up an additional spot for bride and groom photographs later. Lynn and Curtis made sure to discuss with me in detail how to best maximize their wedding photography timeline.
I loved the colors of this wedding, but for some reason, the images I chose for the blog are a lot of black and whites. The combination of the architecture of the Capital and their classy wedding details really suited a timeless black and white conversion.
Congratulations Lynn & Curtis!

Love the next shot that Brian captured! The moment, the architecture, the composition. . .sweet!

Lynn & Curtis had their children stand as their attendants.

Their reception was held at The Cellar in Camp Hill

Moments from Gia & Matt's Wedding in Camp Hill & Harrisburg, PA
On April 25th, Brian & I photographed the wedding of the lovely Gia & Matt. Although it was only April, it really felt like a summer day (I think the high reached 90 degrees). Brian and I started at the Milestone Inn in Harrisburg before heading to the Camp Hill United Methodist Church for the ceremony. We then headed to the Capitol for a few moments before ending up back at the Milestone for the reception. I thought I'd try to blog mostly the unscripted moments of the day, although there may be one or two casual portraits thrown in the mix. ;) Gia & Matt were just so sweet, it was easy for Brian and I to snag many unprompted moments had between the two of them. It was great for us to see some of our former clients (big shout out to Kari & Jamison again!) and some friends we hadn't seen in a while as well!!
To Gia & Matt, thank you for trusting us with your wedding photography. We truly had an amazing time!
I thought this was super fun, the bride is ironing the ribbons on her shoes. Her shoes were absolutely perfect for her, she's a dancer!

I love how happy and radiant Gia looks here!

An inbetween moment of the girls, but I love it!

Brian captured this next image of the guys which was right after the trolley with the ladies just drove past us.

I just love when the officiant has the bride and groom take a moment to look at their guests!

The bridal party watching as Gia & Matt board the trolley for their getaway!

They are officially married! I can almost feel their excitement!

When we arrived at the capitol the first thing I saw was Gia's veil blowing all over the place, to which Matt responded by helping her gain control of it, and then sneaking in a few well-deserved kisses and hugs. It was so adorable. . .really, these two just made things so easy!

A great shot of Matt, and Matt telling me I shouldn't encourage his hilarious groomsmen! ;)

I love this shot Brian grabbed of Gia & her dad!

This is Gia & Matt's niece, she was unbelievably adorable. I think I have enough photos of her for an entire blog post. ;)

Thanks again to Gia, Matt, and their friends and families. Your entire proof gallery will be live soon. Hope you had a great honeymoon!
CarisaK Product Highlight
I just wanted to share a few images from a recent album that arrived for a client. This album is from Julia & Matt's wedding this past December. I love the vibrant red cover they chose. This is an 8x8 flush mount album with 26 pages. I hope you enjoy reliving the memories of your wonderful wedding, Julia & Matt!

As a quick reminder to those 2008 wedding clients who have not provided me with their album selections yet, after March 31st, your album design and completed album may be delayed by as much as 6 weeks. This is simply due to the fact that I will be concentrating on current 2009 clients. Of course, you are welcome to place your orders at any time, but please keep this in mind. Orders are processed in the order I receive them, and as the wedding and portrait season pick back up, my schedule tends to fill up quickly. Remember, if you have questions or need guidance that is why I am here! Thanks for your understanding!
Julia & Matt's Wedding in Harrisburg
What a fantastic, albeit a bit chilly, day it was this past Saturday for a winter wedding in Central PA. This was our last wedding of 2008 and what a festive event it was. It was obvious from the wonderful and intricate details at the cocktail hour and reception held at the Appalachian Brewery that Julia and Matt spent a lot of time contemplating all of the little details. There were so many details that I fell in love with, I do love winter and this time of year! They are also huge cat lovers and have adopted / rescued 4 of their own. Check out their cute favor. . . a donation in each guest's name towards an organization that cares for homeless cats. I say their wedding day was purrrrfect! ;)

The next shot is my angle of Brian's shot (see above) that I snapped while photographing the bride!

I love the above candid moment with the bridesmaids and the next photo is one of my faves!

The bridal party was great about braving it in the cold for a few photos with the B&G. Julia used to work at the capital, so this was very fitting for their photos.

The next one is one of my faves.

Okay, so Julia and Matt thought I was a little crazy for suggesting this, but I think it's quirky and fun!

We hope you two have a blast on your honeymoon and enjoy your CK photo teaser!
Cozette & Jeff's Wedding in Harrisburg
This was our second wedding of last weekend. We had an absolute blast with Cozette and Jeff, and you're about to see why. The bride has 5 gorgeous sisters and everyone in the bridal party (and their families) was just so much fun. The day was full of Lebanese family traditions which we were honored to capture.
We started the day at the bride's parent's house before moving to the ceremony location in Harrisburg. As we made our way over to the Crowne Plaza where their reception took place, we stopped at the Capital for a few mintues just as the light was fading. The sky was a bit ominous, but I think it added some cool drama to the photos.
The reception was crazy fun and still rocking even when we left! I don't normally post this many reception shots, but I just couldn't resist. Congratulations Cozette & Jeff!

Lacing the dress up is serious business. . .it nees to be tied tight enough. . .

but not too tight that the bride can't breathe or sip her wine! ;)

Celebrating started early at the bride's parent's house before the ceremony.

I love the atmosphere of this shot Brian captured during the ceremony.

I think Cozette is a bride who can handle the next shot which Brian and I absolutely adore! Don't you love this moment??!!

Super cute! Cozette & her sisters each had on a different color of shoes. I have a shoe addiction, as my family knows, so I thought this was awesome.

The 6 sisters.

One of the best toasts I've heard!

Jeff is a tall guy, so I can understand his concern here!

I love the next 2 action packed reception shots by Brian. I think they really show how festive and fun the evening was.

The bride's father having a great time!

I really wanted to show the emotion and energy of the night!

The Wedding of Molly and Chris
This past Labor Day weekend, Brian and I had a great time photographing the wedding of Molly & Chris in Mechanicsburg, PA. It was a lovely, relaxed day with an absolutely stunning bride. Molly and Chris were actually set up by Molly's mother (I think I have that story correct). This is definitely a case of, "mother knows best," wouldn't you say? ;) Brian and I have known the bride since high school so it was fun reconnecting with a few CH and MU alumni.
I hope you enjoy your CarisaK photo teaser, thanks for letting us be a part of your fun and beautiful day.

Their friend sang during the ceremony and had an amazing voice.

A sweet candid moment by Brian as I was getting ready for some casual formals.

Another great shot by Brian!

The next photo is so sweet, Brian caught a super cute moment!

Brian caught Molly and Chris grabbing a quick smooch on the dance floor!
